General Hospital: January 9^th - 13^th

I've been waiting for this moment all week! To accompany my 5 hours of consecutive GH this Friday night, I have chosen a light and fruity rose. Beringer White Zinfandel from the California Collection. I hope you enjoy this weeks recap, as thing go awry in Port Charles when secrets are revealed.

This was a good week, we see the end of a storyline give birth to the beginning of a new one. We also see the return of one of our favorite villains. The only complaint I have is the painful Ethan and Cassandra (woman in white) story line. Their cleverly cryptic conversation have become so irritating I can barely stand to watch them anymore. The only scene that is worth your time all week is Friday's scene. The only other scene that could have topped this one would be if Wyndemere were to blow up with both of them in it, putting an end to this redundant storyline. WE GET IT...she is most likely Laura's daughter...the camera shots to Laura's portrait took care of that, and Ethan is infatuated with her. The End, goodnight.

Monday, January 9^th:

Ewan, Spinelli & Ethan: The episode begins with all three standing around like a bunch of lust struck idiots at the sight of the woman in white at Wyndemere. Ewan confesses she is actually a patient of his and she doesn't know who she is. The woman in white finally speaks and asks Dr. Keenan what is wrong with her. Ewan explains to everyone how she wandered into his office at Shadybrook one day, distraught and shaken, scribbled “help me”, then passed out. He calls her Cassandra. She also mysteriously writes “I.C” all the time and doesn't know why. Spinelli and Ethan both confess that they've done some digging and found no reported past...without having an actual name I don't understand how they were able to search for anything...but whatever! Cassandra wants to know why everyone is so worried about her being there, it then cuts to a shot of Laura's portrait. They chat some more, she then shrieks to cause a diversion and disappears once again.

Kate & Sonny: Kate walk into Sonny's place just in time to hear him assure someone over the phone he will take care of Jax. He tells her it's not what she thinks. In a later scene, the two get pretty hot when Sonny stops and gets up to check on dinner....hmm...mob boss, handsome AND he cooks! what more could a girl ask for! ....While Sonny is out of the room Kate makes a sneaky phone call asking whoever is on the other line to “talk her out of something”. Sonny returns and Kate begins to slowly walk up to the bedroom, she lets down her hair. Sonny looks nervous, which was cute, and follows her....aaaaand they make sweet sweet love ;)

Carly & Johnny Zacchara: Carly decides to pay Johnny a little visit. She asks him what it will take to leave Michael out of the business and he insinuates sexual favours. Carly starts flirting, we know she's good at that, but tells Johnny she needs a few assurances before this goes on. They discuss an exchange and make out. Johnny then walks to the door and shows her out.

Elizabeth & Robin: After Robin asks Liz to take care of her family and eventually take her place, Elizabeth desperately tries to convince her to tell Patrick what is going on and insists she doesn't have to abandon them. She is confident Robin will find a new treatment in Africa and agrees to help her only if she tells Patrick what is going on before she leaves.

Jason & Patrick: After Jason blacks out in front of Patrick at GH, Patrick would like to run a battery of tests on him. Obviously Jason has do be difficult and refuses the tests. Patrick tells Jason that Robin is attending a conference about HIV/AIDS in Africa and will be leaving that night. Jason tells Patrick he needs to talk to Robin about what she is going through.

Sam: Sam shows up at GH after hearing about Jason's blackout and runs into Monica who thinks she looks pale and has her sit down. Sam tells her what happened to Jason on NYE and Monica mentions how having a baby would help turn his life around. Sam looks worried. Later, Patrick tells Sam Jason needs as little stress in his life right now as possible, he leaves and she looks at the pregnancy stick in her purse....WHY on earth it's in her purse I'll never know.

Tuesday, January 10^th:

Carly, Sonny & Kate: Carly storms into Sonny's place bellowing his name, while Jax lurks in the bushes outside. Sonny comes down the stairs in his undershirt and tells her it's a bad time ;) She says it's about Michael and insists it's important when Kate shows up at the top of the stairs wearing nothing but Sonny's dress shirt...priceless! Kate and Carly argue about the Jax issue and Sonny stands up for Kate, demanding that Carly show her some respect. She then informs Sonny that Michael has asked Johnny Zacchara for a job and Sonny is less than pleased. He assures her he will take care of it and kicks her out....It seems she's been kicked out a lot lately...

Anthony & Johnny Z : Father and son talk about the upcoming nuptials, when Johnny gets a call from Carly.

Dante & Michael: At the PCPD, Lieutenant Ronnie decides it's up to him to throw Dante a bachelor party. Michael walks in and hears the officers planing a party instead of catching the man responsible for attacking the dancers, and once again loses his shit. He accuses the police of sitting on their hands and warns Abby's death will not be for nothing.

Maxie & Lulu: Meanwhile, Maxie is extremely paranoid due to Anthony Z's ambiguous warnings and freaks out when she hears someone behind her as she enters her apartment ...which I am very jealous of!....thankfully it's only Lulu. Later, the two chat about Spinelli answering the roommate add and Maxie asking Matt to move in with her, all while doing yoga...IN HEELS!?! *faceplam*...Later, Maxie's phone rings and it's Anthony Z. The talk in code about the wedding, Maxie hangs up when Lulu gets stuck in a yoga position...gee I wonder why that happened o_O

Jasam & Scrubs: The four discuss Jason's condition, Sam tells the docs about Jason's sleepless nights and recent catatonic episodes. In a later scene they learn Jason's tests came back inconclusive, meaning more tests need to be done. In a later scene, Patrick warns Sam how important it is that nothing triggers Jason's anger. Meanwhile, Jason gets Spinelli on the phone and orders him to find Franco, now. While Jason is on his way to find Franco, Sam visits the baby ward and gets very emotional.

Carly & Johnny: Carly decides to go to Kelly's after hours to meet Johnny but ends up finding Shawn still there repairing the thermostat...coincidence? I think not. Johnny shows up to discuss the terms of their agreement. They start making out when Shawn walks in and spoils the fun, which they both think was Carly's intention from the beginning. Johnny leaves and Carly makes a phone call asking someone for help.

Robin & Patrick: The car arrives to bring Robin to the airport. She says her goodbyes to Jason and Sam and looks at her ticket which we see says Seattle, Washington. Patrick sneaks up behind her, not in time to actually see the ticket. They say their goodbyes and Robin leaves for what everyone believes is Africa.

Sonny & Kate: The two talk about old times and old romances. Kate asks Sonny if he's ready to go public as an item. He glows with happiness and tells her he's ready. Later, Sonny leaves Michael a message telling him he loves him, while someone spies on him from the bushes.

Michael: Michael shows up at Anthony Zacchara's who gladly welcomes him in. Michael bitches about how useless the cops are and how he needs to take matters into his own hands.

PCPD: Padilla and Dante work on the dancers case, Ronnie walks in and says they've got a suspect, Chuck D'onofrio, and leaves to collar him.

Wednesday, January 11^th:

Ewan & Ethan: Ewan enters Wyndemere and finds Ethan asleep on the couch. Later, they chat about Cassandra's disappearing act, meanwhile she is hiding behind the walls listening in.

Maxie & Anthony & Tracy: Maxie meets Anthony at his place to discuss wedding plans. Tracy shows up and Maxie informs her that Crimson will be providing a photographer for the wedding. Tracy refuses and insists on low profile. Maxie leaves, exasperated and Tracy makes sure Anthony understands there won't be a wedding. Anthony reminds Tracy he knows she financed ELQ with dirty money. Tracy changes her tune but at least manages to push the wedding to a later date. She leaves takes off and crazy Anthony Z closes the door while blissfully humming the wedding march and making murderous gestures...oh boy. In a later scene, Tracy arrives home and is ambushed.

Johnny Z & Steven: Johnny goes to GH to have a talk with Steven. He threatens to tell everyone about the guy he offed in Memphis if he doesn't get him the information he needs.

Carly & Luke: Carly and Luke meet at Kelly's and we see that he's the one she called or help. She explains Michael's situation and the deal she made with Johnny. Asks him to get her information to hold over Johnny's head so she won't have to sleep with him. In exchange, Luke wants a complimentary suite at the Metro Court including an open tab at the spa and the bar.

Dante & Olivia: Dante and Padilla get ready to interrogate the suspect when Olivia shows up with lunch for Dante. She makes some comments about Dante and Lulu and makes it quite awkward for Padilla, who leaves. Dante insists s trust he and Lulu have nothing to worry about because he and Padilla are just partners. Later, Olivia confides to Dante how she feels about the whole Maggie and Steve situation, and how she doesn't trust her. She admits how much he means to her and how hurt she would be if anything were to happen.

Maggie & Steve: Meanwhile at GH, Maggie and Steve talk about their past. Steve admits it was a mistake bringing her to Port Charles and she would be better off away from him. Maggie believes he is saying thin because of Olivia. Maggie tells Steve she is staying in Port Charles and promises to keep quiet about the secret they share. Later, Maggie kisses Steven and Olivia walks by just in time to see them. Horrified and upset, Olivia leaves.

Diane & Spinelli: Over at the office, Diane confides in Spinelli that she feels responsible for Michael going to prison.

PCPD: Officer Padilla finds a link between the dancers attacked. They are all professionally trained and attended the same school. She also believes they are interrogating the wrong guy.

Ethan & Cassandra: Once Ewan leaves, Cassandra comes out from behind the wall to greet Ethan. They talk some more about her memory and Cassandra kisses Ethan. Ethan confesses how much she fascinates him and is always on his mind but he wants to know why she chose Wyndemere as her refuge. She mysteriously tells him not to ask that and appears to be afraid of something, Ethan believes she is afraid of Helena. Thats when the scene cuts to Helena hiding behind the walls gripping a dagger....SHE'S BAAAAACK! and looking as hauntingly evil as ever!

Thursday, January 12^th:

Steven, Maggie & Olivia: Steven pushes Maggie off and insists that can never happen again. She continues to bring up Memphis and reminds him of what they have been through together, including playing god. She asserts it will never work with Olivia, not with this secret chaining them together. After some more redundant reminiscing, Olivia walks in and plants one on Steven. Later, when Steven leaves the room, Olivia warns Maggie to back off, and struts out of the room, she looked like one smokin' bad ass chick! I wouldn't fuck with her..then again I would have punched Maggie in her face...

Michael: Michael learns Chuck D'onofrio, the suspect in the attacks, was released by the PCPD and back on the streets. He is furious and rips into Padilla for letting him go. Ronnie agrees with Michael and tells Padilla she has ruined the investigation. Michael storms off.

Sonny: Sonny makes an angry phone call to Jason telling him the restaurant was shot up and he needs to let go of this obsession he has with finding Franco. Shortly after, Olivia shows up to help him with the restaurant's menu visibly upset but doesn't want to talk about it. They both share a laugh when Olivia sees he has named the restaurant after him and Connie's (Kate) old hangout back in Brooklyn, Fortunato's. Olivia leaves when Johnny shows up, said he was summoned by Sonny. Later, Sonny is in the midst of warning Johnny about involving michael in the business, when Michael walks in. Johnny tells Sonny Michael can make his own decisions and leaves.

Michael & Sonny: Michael and Sonny discuss what happened to Abbey and how Michael feels responsible. Micheal then tells Sonny how the suspect is has been released and asks him to “bury the son of a bitch”.

Cassandra & Ethan: Cassandra denies it's Helena she fears and insists she is not in hiding. She confides to Ethan that she wishes she knew her mother, the scene then cuts to the portrait of Laura....so, I think this is a pretty clear indication she is Laura's daughter. She then confesses she wants to be close to him..yet, Ethan begins to show interest and she warns him to keep his distance, finding out who she is may be terrible for her and everyone around her. Ethan Caresses her face.

Sam & Jason: Sam hides her pregnancy test when Jason walks in. He blames himself again for what happened with Franco and he doesn't know if he could let it go. Sam gets a call and reluctantly leaves to meet Alexis and Molly who are in some crisis. Sam gets home and finds a note from Jason.

Alexis, Molly & Sam: Sam arrives at Kelly's just in time to break up an argument between Alexis and Molly. They're arguing about Alexis being overbearing and forcing Molly to friend her on “My Face”.....too cute. Sam talks to Molly and Alexis explains the reason she is so involved in Molly's life is because her mother died before they had the chance to be in each others lives. Everything is resolved. Alexis notices something is bothering Sam and tells her she can go home. Sam leaves and Molly continues to look at her Uncle Stefan's creepy photo album. She notices how at a certain point there ceases to be pictures of the Cassadine children as if they all just disappeared....Alexis tells her that was in fact how it was.

Jason & Franco: Jason insists Spinelli tell him where Franco is hiding, he does. In a later scene, Jason walks into Franco's hideout, and is finally face to face with the psychopath, gun in hand. He demands to know why he wanted to be found this time. Franco won't answer and continues talking in riddles.

Friday, January 13^th :

Cassandra & Ethan: The two start to get close and Cassandra tells Ethan she feels as if she's being hunted...we then see Helena behind the walls holding her dagger. The two blab some more about their past lives and anonymity. I must say, this storyline is starting to become so boring and redundant I want to skip through all their scenes. In a later scene they finally have sex, on a luxurious makeshift bed by the fireplace...gee, I hope Helena wasn't watching THAT part!! They continue with the clever cryptic talk that has become more irritating than cute and she tells him he has given her something she no longer has to read about....are we suppose to believe or assume she was a virgin?!..come on! Ethan's phone rings and he leaves to meet Luke.

Cassandra & Ewan: Ewan shows up at Wyndemere after Ethan leaves and reminds Cassandra of the rules they have set. She accuses him of being obsessive and he tells her she cannot see Ethan anymore.

Sam: Sam frantically calls Jason and leaves him messages begging him not to go after Franco. A worried Sam flashes back to her and Jason's Chinese ceremony, looks up and whispers, “Please let this baby be Jason's”. So, if there were any doubts floating around, they are now put to rest, Sam is pregnant and doesn't know who the father is. Suddenly there's a knock at the door, it's Michael, he wants to hire her for her P.I services. He tells her he knows who has been attacking the dancers and that he was let go by the cops. Sam tries to convince him it's a bad idea and he could end up back in prison.

Patrick & Elizabeth: Patrick feels uneasy that Robin has not called yet, Elizabeth tries to reassure him. Later, Patrick finally gets a call from Robin, albeit quick. She rushes off the phone and tells him the conference is starting. They hang up and we see her walking into a Seattle hospital. Patrick tells Robin he feels there is something wrong with Robin and Liz can no longer keep it a secret. She confesses to Patrick that Robins HIV levels are unstable.

Sonny & Michael: When Sonny tells Michael he can't just kill a man who may be innocent, Michael freaks out and insists he will handle it on his own. He is sick of everyone saying he is just hurting right now, and in convinced the cops are useless.

Kate walks in to hear Michaels request again. Sonny tells him he will not kill a man on a hunch and Michael storms out. In a later scene we see Michael buying a gun from a guy in an ally.

Luke: Luke makes a phone call inquiring where “the dragon lady” is, he is referring to Skye.

Jason & Franco: Franco refuses to give Jason any straight answers and continues to taut him with riddles. Jason shoots him twice and Franco slumps to the ground, blood running from his mouth. In his dying breath he tells Jason that now he will never know. Jason begins yelling “Never know what?!?”, but it's too late. We then see Jason driving , he is angry and begins to experience that weird condition in his left hand. The scene then cuts to Franco's hideout on fire, and the toy monkey up in flames.

Sonny & Kate: After Michael leaves, Kate tries to motivate Sonny by running some ideas for the new restaurant by him. Meanwhile, Jax is lurking around the corner. Kate wants to re create Fortunato's but Sonny decides he no longer wants to live in the past. He opens up about Bensonhurst and in a symbolic gesture, throws out the keys to his old house, they then share a hug. He is starting to let go of the past and confesses to Kate he is falling in love with her. Later, once Kate has already left, Sonny gets ready to leave the restaurant but doubles back to turn the light off. He turns it off and the phone rings. As he picks up, he suddenly gets shot at, we hear a loud pop and see a flash of light. ..If you ask me, I'm pretty sure Monday's episode will reveal it was actually the light bulb that popped. Don't freak out!!

Luke & Ethan: The two meet at the haunted star to discuss his deal with Carly. Luke wants Ethan to go find Skye and woo her into giving him dirt on Anthony Z. However, Ethan tells Luke he can't leave because he's got Cassandra now, and totally ruins his plans.

Jason & Sam: A visibly disturbed Jason gets home. Sam runs to him, as they hold eachother he tells her it's over and Franco is. out of their lives for good. Sam tells Jason she is pregnant, he is speechless.

     There you have it, the week in review. This week saw the end of a feud that can have repercussions for a long time to come. Now begins the agony that is Sams nightmare. We can only hope the writers will give these two a happy ending...I can see the coming months now, flashbacks, manipulated paternity tests, but something tells me Franco will be back....one day.

This weeks spoilers confirm the suspicions I've had about Will for months now. He is gay...and someone knows.

Days of Our Lives: January 3-6 , 2012

• Tuesday, January 3^rd

Madison & Brady :

The episode starts off showing Madison on her computer at Brady's house, implying she spent the night. Brady comes down the stairs wondering why he woke up alone. They talk business, mainly about pushing back Mad World's secret new line which Brady is not happy about. They end up arguing about who is in charge at Mad world. Madison accuses him of overcompensating because they are dating. Brady assures her he is treating everybody at the company equally. They reconcile and Brady brings up Sammi being a threat to Mad World and her secret new line. Madison doesn't seem worried seeing as how Sammi signed a confidentiality clause.

Sammi & Kate:

Sammi starts her new job at Countess W and thanks Kate for the opportunity. Kate unapologetically tells her the main reason she was hired was to tell her everything there is to know about Mad world cosmetics. Sammi refuses to sell out Madison

Abe, Lexi, E.J, Nicole & Jennifer:

They all meet at the square to talk campaign which obviously doesn't go very well what with E.J and Nicole being scheming ingrates. They argue about E.J not wanting voters to ask questions at the debate. Later, they all agree on debate subjects and guidelines. Nicole, however, has an evil plan to manipulate the questions beforehand and give them to E.J. Surprisingly, Jennifer and Lexi are on to her plan and intend to stop her.

Will & Marlena:

Will spent the night at Malenas after an emotional new years eve. They talk a little more and eat breakfast. Later, Marlena explains to Will the dangers of bottling up his emotions, he freaks out again and vows to never forgive his mother. He finally opens up and explains in detail what happened the night Johnny disappeared and how he saw Sammi and E.J having sex. He explains the fact that he can't get the picture out of his head. He calls his mother a heartless, evil slut. Marlena explains Sammis emotional state when Johnny went missing but Will feels it's no excuse for her betrayal. Marlena blames herself and her affair with John, is afraid Will may suffer with the same damaged relationship she and Sammi have. Later Marlena has a flashback to when Sammi found out about her and John. It was great to see this clip of Marlena and Sammi arguing about her affair with John from so long ago.

• Wednesday, January 4^th

Carrie & Rafe:

The episode starts with Carrie and Rafe moving into the new law firm, they also receive their first client, a seemingly rich older woman who's husband has gone missing. We later discover it's actually her cat who has disappeared. She also has a crappy southern accent that comes in waves...come on, now! The two venture off to find the missing feline who ends up attacking Rafe. Seriously, poor Rafe. Later on, while the two mope over an unsuccessful first case, the client, who appears to be wetting the lip pretty hardcore for a Wednesday afternoon,calls and thanks them for finding her cat. I guess he was never lost...just out! They'll take it!

Chad & Melanie:

Chad has a flashback to his kiss with Melanie on New Years Eve. Melanie shows up,they talk and Abigail walks in as he caresses her face. Abigail freaks out at the sight of her ex and her best friend together and starts putting the pieces together of what actually happened. She storms off. Maleanie beats herself up about what she has done to her best friend and tells Chad they cannot be together. Chad tries to convince her they belong together. Melanie agrees to start over as friends for now. Chad is not happy but understands

Will:

Will goes over to Sonny's who confronts him about his bahaviour lately. Sonny then lends some generic advice about running from problems when Will tells him he wants to leave Salem.Will then becomes very curious about Sonny's coming out .Later, they talk about opening a new trendy cafe in town and agree they need investors. I haven't seen any spoilers about this but I have a feeling Will may be gay. I have thought this for a while, we'll see if I'm right.

Bo & Hope:

Bo and Hope meet with Marlena for a session. They talk about Zacks death and get very emotional. Hope cries and Bo blames himself for letting Chelsea drive and ultimately hit Zack. They argue about Ciara's kidnapping and the breakup. Hope confesses she was extremely hurt by his relationship with Carly and being replaced so easily. Hope then talks about her dependency on pills and subsequent prison stint. They both cry and share a hug.

Abigail & Austin:

Austin finds Abigail crying at Brady's Pub, he comforts her as he hold her hands in his and offers his wisdom. She admits that she ended it because she was having feelings for someone else. She begins to describe this new crush to Austin and he tells her to follow her heart, he has no idea she is actually talking about him!

• Thursday January 5th

Gabby, Melanie, Chad & Quinn:

At the Intensity day spa, Melanie and Gabby have begun their self defence classes with Quinn, Abigail is missing. Chad walks in while Melanie is in full force, bends down to pick up his keys and gets a kick right to the face. He gets knocked out, but is ok. While being tended to, he exchanges a look of love with Melanie..or lust, still not sure. Later, they all go for lunch, including Quinn who offers to pay. Comments how its hard to believe Melanie is single. Melanie and Gabby are getting drinks at the bar when she learns Gabby is interested in dating Chad. They all eat lunch together, Gabby flirts with Chad and Melanie retaliates by flirting with Quinn, who has shown interest....bad idea Melanie!!

John & Brady:

They talk about money and finances, which has become pretty boring for me. They talk about rebuilding basic black from the ground up, Brady offers to help but John will not accept handouts. Brady proposes to be his partner and confesses he has been thinking about it for a while, like the good old days at basic black. but John wont let him walk away from everything he has built at Titan. John tells Brady that if Madison is ok with him joining basic black as a partner then he would be happy to work together.

Jennifer & Jack:

Jack went all out and planned an entire trip to Hawaii for the family, separate rooms and all. They discuss her relationship with Daniel. Jennifer insists he is a non issue and he has moved on but Jack is concerned about her residual feelings for him. starting to bore me.... they then talk about separate rooms, Jack obviously would prefer the same room. He then Leaves for his interview with John and Jennifer suggests he sees Marlena professionally.

Daniel:

Daniel anxiously waits at the hospital for his test results, Maggie shows up to meet him so he wouldn't be alone. Lexi finally shows up with the results. She informs Daniel he has tested positive for intention tremor, a neurological problem which was most likely caused by a minor stroke. Daniel is upset and cant believe what is happening to him. Lexi then gives him the unfortunate news that this condition is difficult to treat and not reversible. Daniel fears his Days as surgeon are over and storms out. Daniel runs into Jennifer outside and can tell something is wrong. Daniel explains what is going on and Jack walks in to find them sharing a tender embrace.

• Friday January 6^th

Sammi & Kate

Kate assures Sammi her insider information will be rewarded and gives Sammi the night off. Kate shows a compassionate side when she tells Sammi she doesn't have to hide the fact she was looking at pictures of her kids on her laptop. Could this be a new side of Kate or is she up to something devious!?

Will, Rafe & Sammi

While Rafe cooks dinner, Will gets home and learns Sammi is working late. He decides to insult her some more until Rafe tells him to be a man and stop moping around making snot comments all day long. He wants to know where all this anger is coming from. Will explains that all of his life he has seen his mother go from guy to guy , manipulating and betraying the, insists he wont let her do that to him. Assures Rafe that Sammi will break his heart. Once again Will avoids actually telling Rafe what the problem is when Sammi walks in. She gushes over Rafe cooking her favorite dinner, asks will about his day and proposes a game night after dinner. Will gets up and leaves without even eating! Sammi and rafe finish dinner together and retire to the bedroom for some lovin

John & Marlena

Marlena is still concerned about Will. John tells her the great news about he and Brady joining to rebuild Basic black, Marlena is happy about the news but is concerned about Brady dropping everything at Mad World.

Will & Marlena

Will shows up at Marlenas wanting to talk , John leaves them alone, again. Will freaks out about what a hypocrite his mother is. Marlena stresses he needs to be honest with Sammi and reassures him that his secret it safe. Will tells Marlena he wants to leave Salem and storms out.

Madison & Brady

Brady meets Madison at the pub. She is feeling anxious about finding a replacement for Sammi. Brady tells Madison about his idea to partner up with his father and rebuild Basic Black. Madison warns him its a big step and doesn't seem very happy about this decision. feels as if everyone is abandoning Mad World and asks him to leave. Brady insists on talking about it and explains he is asking her because he cares about her, not because he has to. Madison opens up and admits this decision will affect their relationship as well as her company but she supports his him and his venture.

Stefano, E.J & Kate

E.J is concerned at the fact that his popularity is down by 20 points in his mayoral campaign. He attributes this to John getting exonerated. Kate arrives and gives them the good news about hiring Sammi. E.J is confused and convinced she is scheming. Kate and Stefano leave for dinner. They end up at the Brady Pub....Stefano at the Brady pub..I mean, is this the only restaurant in all of Salem!? Before going in , Stefano confesses to Kate he has been keeping a secret from E.J but did not give her any details. They end up running into Marlena and John outside the pub. Kate invites them to join them for dinner, understandably John says he would rather starve. Kate then informs him about Sammi taking a job with Countess W. John is surprised and less than happy. He tells Stefano he has done enough and enter Brady's Pub. Kate is curious as to what he meant by this statement. Stefano skates around the situation and they decide to go elsewhere for dinner.

Will:

Will ends up in Horton Square and loses it again. Visibly distraught he cries, yells and kicks things. He then sees a campaign poster for E.J and storms off. In a later scene Will ends up at E.J's door. Will tells E.J he plans on leaving Salem, and he will give him the money to do so, or he will tell everyone what happened between him and Sammi.

New Years Eve in Salem - December 30th 2011

December 30^th 2011 - New Years Eve in Salem

Its New Years Eve in Salem and we all know what that means...drama! and sex apparently. With one party going on at the Brady pub and a larger bash going on at the new Horton Town Square, a fun time is sure to be had by all...or is it?

The episode opens with Bo, Hope, Julie and Doug sitting at the Brady pub.

Bo & Hope:

The episode opens with our favorite Salem couple toasting the new year with Doug and Julie, reminiscing about the old days. Later Bo joins Hope outside where she confesses she is thinking of deceased son Zack and often does. They agree to see someone professionally before their marriage falls apart again.

Nicole & E.J:

The couple starts the episode in bed, basking in the afterglow of sex. Nicole insists they must get up and make an appearance at Horton Square if he is to become mayor, E.J reluctantly agrees. Later we are shown that they never actually made it out of bed. Will they make it to the countdown?! When they finally show up at the party, E.J sporting what looks to be like a million dollar suit....that man looks great in a suit....we are shown the party at Horton Square. Its actually a pretty happening party. E.J proposes a toast to the new year and to a fresh start...now I wonder why he would want that.

Brady & Madison:

Meanwhile at Titan, Madison is hard at work as Brady tries to convince her to stop and start celebrating. She insists she has too much work and he should go out without her but gets upset when he agrees. Later, Madison confesses she didn't actually want him to leave, he somehow foresaw that whole conversation and was bluffing about leaving the whole time. Madison is surprised to see that he has ordered a romantic dinner instead.

After stuffing their face, Brady leaves the room and Madison gets a call. She nervously answers and lies to whoever is on the other line about working late. This has happened various times. I haven't figured out if this is a secret spouse of not, I suppose it could be a child. Brady returns and lets the word “wedding” slip, insinuating he would want this in the future. A visibly troubled Madison agrees to go out to Brady's pub where they share a dance to Julie and Doug's duet as well as a kiss.

John & Marlena:

Elsewhere, John and Marlena make out...eesh. They decide to order in but discover through their bank that all their debit cards have been rejected and the haven't a penny to their name. They worry but are comforted by the idea that they always have each other, and decide to cook together. They share a romantic moment as they eat and John vows to rebuild Basic Black. They make out...again!

Sammi, Rafe & Will:

Sammi and Rafe are getting everything ready to host Austin and Carrie. Will is also there getting ready to meet up with Melanie and Sonny. None have a date and decided to go out together. He is being extremely snotty with Sammi who tries to make him feel better with all the yummy food which she got at Chez Rouge. Rafe gets upset because Sammi had the party catered by Chez Rouge, he is concerned they can't afford it. It is at this point that Sammi confesses to Rafe she has a new job working for Kate DiMera which pays twice as much as her old job working for Madison. Rafe is shocked not only because she didn't run this by him first but also because she is working for Kate. Rafe then informs Sammi that he too was offered a job but unlike her, decided to inform her first. The new job would be working as a partner and lead investigator for her sister Carrie's new law firm. Sammi is not very enthused by this news. Will freaks out because Sammi is being Selfish as we all know Sammi can be, and tells her off. Rafe jumps to Sammis defence at which point they ask Will why he is so upset. Will is saved by the bell when Sunny and Melanie show up at the door with champagne and noise makers. Sammi convinced them to stay for Crab cakes ..mmmm.... Before the youngsters take off for bottle service at Horton Square, Sammi makes another attempt at telling Will she loves him. he ignores her and walks out. Sammi and Rafe share a moment before midnight. Sammi confesses she is eager for the new year and for new beginnings....much like E.J... Rafe looks great as usual and although Sammi's hair looks very nice, I don't find the dress she had on very flattering. I found it made her boobs seem droopy.

Austin & Carrie:

Austin and Carrie are getting ready for dinner at Sammi and Rafe's followed by the countdown at Horton Square. They're out the door but get sidetracked when Austin wants to get frisky. They finally make it to Sammi and Rafe's, Sammi opens the door and Carrie and Rafe share a look. Once everyone is settled in they decide to play pictionary. The team of Carrie and Rafe win, they share a hug. Later, all four toast to the new company and Rafe's new job, Sammi doesn't look very happy. Austin and Carrie then leave to countdown at the square.

Chad & Abigail:

Chad DiMera sits on Abigail s couch, lovingly staring at a picture of Melanie on his cell phone, when Abigail walks in ready for an intimate New Years Eve. They both look great, Chad's looks have grown on me. I did not find him attractive when he first appeared on the show but for some reason he is pretty hot now. Later they start to discuss a book they had read in Austin's class about relationships and both blurt out “We need to talk”...that's never good! After both agreeing it no longer feels right between them, they decide to break up and remain good friends. He kisses her forehead and leaves. Abigail cries. Something tells me she did not really want this and that he is on his way to visit a certain red headed bombshell.

Will:

While having a blast at Horton Square, Sunny runs off with a friend, leaving Melanie and Will, who is visibly troubled and decides to leave Melanie alone on New Years Eve. Will ends up at Marlenas where he explodes and confesses to Doc that he has lost all control of his emotions and feels his life is spinning out of control. He is ready to tell her why he has been acting out. Marlena is soothing and understanding as only she can be and promises she will not breath a word of what he is about to tell her. Will blurts out that he saw Sammi and E.J having sex and calls his mother a slut. Marlena tells her grandson she believes him which relieves him a little bit.

Melanie & Chad:

Melanie is left in the Square feeling sorry for herself when Chad appears behind her and admires her from afar.

While Julie and Doug's duet was really corny, It was kindof nice to still see two of the veterans in a scene like that. DOOL has no shortage of corny scenes...but hey, that's why we love it, and cry at the Christmas special...no?...just me? ok then.

New Years Eve in Port Charles - December 30th 2011

December 30^th 2011 - New Years Eve in Port Charles

We all knew that when Carly decided to have a New Years Eve bash at the Metro Court, with pretty much all of Port Charles attending,there would be some drama involved, that's why we love Carly!

The episode however, starts off with Spinelli and Maxie.

Maxie & Spinelli:

Not what you're all thinking, but close! He has a New Years Eve date with a mystery woman and needs Maxie's help to find the perfect outfit. Maxie is visibly bothered by the news and begins her mile a minute questioning and criticizing, she is clearly jealous and intrigued, and in true Maxie fashion fixes Spinelli's tie dangerously close to his face. Spinelli doesn't fall for it. Good job! He strolls off into the elevator and leaves us wondering what in the hell he is up to. The scene ends with Maxie calling Matt to tell him she needs to take care of something and will be late for their date, once again neglecting him and putting him last. Hmmm....I wonder what she's planning. Later she confronts him at Kelly's demanding to know who this woman is. He speechlessly stares out the window and we see he is staring at “the woman in white”.

Dante & Michael:

At Kelly's, the handsome Dante speaks with a grieving Michael about Abbey's death. Dante becomes worried when Michael insinuates that he wants revenge. Michael then notices Dante's wedding band and learns of his and Lulu's intimate wedding on Christmas eve. He congratulates Dante and toasts to a successful marriage. The toast and the scene end with a bittersweet “'till death do you part”.

Patrick & Robin

At the Drake household, Patrick decides he is going to take Emma for ice cream...since, you know, every parent promises their child ice cream in the middle of winter. Robin stays behind and orders a car service for one person. Is this it? we all wonder. In a later scene Patrick returns with Emma, Robin is still there and has a moment with the super cute Emma, imparting wisdom and love almost as if she would never see her again.

Tracy & Anthony:

At the Metro Court, an always elegant Tracy approaches Carly who looks beautiful albeit her micro mini dress. Carly assures Tracy that she has not heard from her “no good uncle” Luke but that there is a table reserved under her name. Tracy finds this odd and heads towards the table, only to find the mischievous Anthony Zacchara waiting there for her, she then realizes it was him who sent her the note and the flawless diamond. She storms off on her way out of the Metro Court and Anthony follows her into the elevator. He tries as usual to convince her that they would make a good couple when obviously, the elevator stops, deliciously cliche. Tracy begins yelling for help but to no avail. This scene ends with Anthony proposing to Tracy. One knee, diamond ring, the whole show...what is his angle!?

Jacks:

We see two scenes of Jacks alive and well at the airport, one in which he is looking at a picture of Josslyn and says “Daddy's coming home, sweetheart”

Jason & Sam

Sam has a flashback of her ordeal with Franco and calls Jason. Jason tells her Franco is gone but offers no details. She then begs him to come home so they could spend New Years Eve together. In a later scene he sensitively looks up with those baby blues of his and tells her “I'm on my way home”. While she waits for her man, Sam realizes while looking at a calender that she is late...oh boy.

Party @ the Metro Court:

At the Metro Court, its see and be seen! Everything is beautifully decorated to the last detail and everyone is dressed to the nines. Sonny and Kate show up to the shindig together and are greeted by Lulu and Olivia. Lulu's silver sequent strapless looked cute on her, while Olivia donned the tightest blue tarzan strap I have ever seen. Kate decided on an ordinary fuchsia cocktail dress, a little boring in my opinion, not what I would expect from an international fashionista. Sonny looks dashing too, as he welcomes Lulu to the family and begins to extend his help should they ever need any when Lulu abruptly cuts him off and tells him her and Dante are fine. I must admit, even with all the rotten things Sonny has done, I think we all have a soft spot for him and we know how much he loves his children so this scene was a little bit sad.

Later on, Kate and Olivia joke around by saying that since Lulu and Dante are married, they are all quasi related. Sarcastically, Carly jokes “I can't wait for that BBQ”. This made me chuckle because I could totally picture how dysfunctional it would be...a BBQ full of Sonny's ex-lovers and offspring.

Some questionable 80's sounding rap plays in the background as Michael makes his entrance. Carly is overjoyed as she didn't want him spending New Years Eve alone and wallowing in grief. He then proposes a toast to Carly in front of all, remarking that he doesn't know by which last name to call her anymore. All smiles are wiped from everyone's face. So it begins...At first I wasn't sure if he was drunk or just grief stricken and pissed off, he wasn't drunk. He calls her out elaborately and articulately about knowing that Jacks is still alive. Sonny and Dante both try to stop him but he reuses to stop. Carly insists Jacks hasn't contacted her but fesses up that 2 weeks after the plane crash, their yacht “The Silent Lady” went missing and that there was activity in his foreign bank accounts. Everyone is in disbelief, especially Sonny who was blamed for his death and Alexis who is close with Jacks. As usual, Carly can never admit she is wrong or take blame for any of her lies and blames Sonny for not telling anybody since he would “finish the job”. Yelling and arguing ensues and ends with Kate yelling in Carly's face “Why don't you apologize to him you lying bitch!”....that was nice to see since Carly's actions seemingly never have any consequences. Carly is once again the villain for now.

Tragedy:

After storming out of the Metro Court following the emotional argument with his mother, we see Michael attempting to cross the road. The scene ends after we hear tires screeching and headlights on Michael. At a later scene, the episode ends with Michael on the ground and another person on the ground not too far away, we also see a wrecked motorcycle and that the second person is Jason. Both are not moving.

Mentions:

The back and forth between Ethan and the woman in white continues and quite frankly, I'm a little bored of it. I know some are saying she may be Laura's daughter but I feel it is dragging.
